How Digital Media Is Affecting Your Business

The day's of wasting paper and money on newspaper advertisements have been way over. Today, it's all about going digital.

Think about your favorite brand and then think about the last time you consumed their content on a physical plain. More than likely, the answer to your question is slim to none. We are in a time where having an online presence is just as important as having a professional website for people to go to.  

When it comes to digital media, social media is one of the most important branding and marketing tools a company can have in its toolbox. When used correctly, you can grow immensely as a brand. Unfortunately, there are still many companies that don't put time, energy, and or funds into growing their social media. Thus falling short on their expectations on how it can work for them. But in all honestly, if you aren't trying to put in the work and fund it, why are you in business? 

 

A suggestion to help your business social media grow is to hire someone whose main focus is on social media. Social media is always changing and so you need someone who can focus on that change, while you make great content or provide great services for your business. This doesn't mean to go and hire an intern to come in and focus on your Instagram feed for a semester, but actually hiring a professional who can help you consistently grow.

If your business isn't in a place that you can hire a social media professional, then you will need to take time out of your day to focus on how to grow your brand's social media. 

Another way to grow your company's online presence is through blogging. Blogging is a great tool to use because it builds not only awareness around your brand but shows people your level of expertise on what your brand is about. If you chose to start blogging, make sure to become a triple threat. A triple threat blog is having a written blog, video blog, and podcast. This isn't something that can happen overnight, but just starting off with one aspect can really impact the growth of your brand.
