Here are the Top 4 Conventions You Have To Go To As A Podcaster

August 30, 2019

Everything in this world is based on not what you know, but who you know and what better place to meet people other than a convention. Conventions are the best way to network, learn about equipment, and educate yourself on opportunities to grow your audience. In this article, I am going to give you my top 4 conventions that a Podcaster should go to, to help elevate their show.

Brooklyn Podcast Festival

Let’s take a trip to the city that never sleeps. New York City has always been known for its creative industries and podcasting is no exception. Produced by City Farm, the Brooklyn Podcast Festival is a festival that celebrates podcasts from all genres. It is a festival that engages, innovates, and supports the creators and the communities that support them. This festival allows networking with various shows across a wide variety of communities and genres.

The lovely city of Chicago is home to the week-long Chicago Podcast Festival. This festival honors it’s local podcasters and connects them to their supporters. Hosting a number of events and networking opportunities, this is one festival you do not want to miss.

GearFest

The last convention, or in this case festival, I would like to mention is GearFest. Located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, GearFest is the nation’s largest gear festivity, featuring hundreds of various types of audio equipment, instruments, and more. Holding a plethora of workshops, panels, and live music performances. Thousands of musicians, engineers, producers, and even podcasters from all over the world travel for this event. Featuring hundreds of manufacturer exhibits, dozens of seminars, workshops, panel discussions, live music, and more. Unlike the other events I have listed, GearFest is an event that is focused around equipment. Exposing you to new tools to use, retail prices that go unmatched by anywhere else in the market, and the various industry professionals teaching you how to use the equipment. It’s a great way to learn more about the equipment you use or want to use in the future.
